The College of Pharmacy topped the results of the standardized exams for the second year in a row at the annual meeting of deans of colleges of pharmacy.

Al-Zahraa University for Women hosted the annual meeting of Deans of Pharmacy Colleges from Iraqi public and private universities, attended by the Chairman of the Committee of Pharmacy Deans, Prof. Dr. Munther Faisal Al-Ameri; the representative of private college deans at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Kholoud Al-Sarraaf; the Chairperson of the Program Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Colleges, Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Nizar; as well as deans of pharmacy colleges from most Iraqi governorates. The meeting focused on discussing strategies for developing pharmacy education and enhancing its quality to align with scientific advancements and the health needs of the community.

In his address, the Chairman of the Council of Deans, Prof. Dr. Munther Faisal Al-Ameri, emphasized the existence of clear steps to support the pharmacy education sector and advance it toward greater regional and global standing. He announced the results of the assessment exams, highlighting that the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University for Women ranked first for the 2024–2025 academic year, for the second consecutive year. Al-Ma’qal University secured second place, followed by Al-Zahrawi University in third. This achievement serves as evidence of the college’s robust academic programs, the competence of its teaching staff, and the students’ dedication to achieving scientific and intellectual excellence.

Alongside him, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Zuhair Muhammad Ali Jadou, affirmed that this achievement represents the fruit of great cooperation and efforts between the faculty and students, and reflects the commitment to global academic standards in preparing qualified pharmacists to provide high-quality humanitarian and professional service.

The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, also expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff, as well as the dedication of the students, which reinforced the image of excellence that led to this achievement, further enhancing the university’s academic standing for the second consecutive year. She emphasized that the continuous support from the Holy Hussaini Shrine and the University Presidency serves as the greatest motivation for achieving the college’s goals and vision, aimed at raising the quality of pharmacy graduates to provide the best healthcare services to the community.

This meeting and the achievements made in it come to provide educational institutions with continuous support, and to strive to achieve clear academic progress for all universities, in addition to striving to develop and improve pharmaceutical education in accordance with approved international standards.
