Professor Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the College of Pharmacy/Al-Zahraa University (peace be upon her) for Girls, participated in the discussion of a master’s thesis at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kufa, as a member and supervisor. The message was titled: “Design, fabrication, and computational study of novel acetazolamide derivatives containing a thiazolidin-4-one group, as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.” The study involved preparing a range of chemical derivatives and testing their effectiveness against cancer cells. The results showed that some of the prepared compounds exhibited promising activity against breast cancer cells, outperforming the control group. This participation comes within the framework of strengthening scientific cooperation between universities and exchanging academic and research experiences in the field of postgraduate studies and pharmaceutical research.
