Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, in cooperation with the Career Development and Employment Division and Health and Medical Technologies Faculty / Department of Anesthesia, conducted an intensive first aid training course. The course was held under the aegis of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Noor Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

 

The course spanned over three days (30 November – 1 and 2 December 2024) and was presented by Asst. Lect. Maha Mohammed Kadhim and Asst. Lect. Fatima Raheem. It is noteworthy that the primary objective of the course evolved on raising awareness and enhancing the skills needed to respond to emergencies, ensuring safety both within and outside the University campus.

 

The lecturers managed to shed on the importance of first aid as a set of urgent and straightforward medical procedures provided to injured individuals or patients to minimize the severity of injuries or preserve life until the arrival of specialized medical assistance.

 

The course concluded with a Q&A session to address participants’ questions. The event ended with the recognition of the two lecturers by Head of Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, in appreciation of their efforts to ensure the success of the training program.
