Lecturer Mr. Alia Ahmed Jassim published the research entitled “Evaluation of Serum level of Sodium and Potassium in Patients with Congestive Heart Failure”
in “Pakistan Journal of Life and Social Sciences”
which is classified within the (Scopus and Clarivate) containers in the fourth quarter (Q4)
This study presents an analysis of the medical records of 100 patients (66 males, 34 females)
who were tested in 2023. The inclusion criteria for this study are:
(1) persistent heart failure according to Framingham criteria (2) age above 18 years.
(3)availability of potassium and potassium levels in the blood
(4) no history of the cause of the accident or liver disease.
Each patient's age, gender, smoking status,
hypertension history and diabetes history
were taken from the medical records
The comprehensive technique was used for the levels of potassium and sodium in the blood.
The study highlights the importance of monitoring blood calcium and potassium levels in heart failure patients, due to the increasing prevalence of electrolyte imbalances in this population.
Health care providers should be vigilant and manage electrolyte
imbalances with failure to monitor chronic diseases due to the findings.
