Prof. Dr. Nour Hatem Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, held a meeting with Faculty teaching and administrative staff, in presence of Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghufran Muhammad Hussein, and heads of the scientific departments. The Dean began the meeting by raising the motto of Ahlu al-Bayt, peace and blessings be upon them, especially Lady Zahraa (peace be upon her), under whose banner we work. This was ensued by words of welcome, praise, thanks and gratitude for the efforts made by all staff members of the Faculty, who contributed to the progress of the Faculty at all levels, especially the scientific and academic levels. The Dean congratulated the Faculty on the start of the new academic year 2024-2025.
A set of such important topics were raised during the meeting as the following:
First: Emphasizing interest in the scientific aspect by updating for theoretical and practical lectures as well as using modern education means to ensure that female students gain real opportunities to learn and necessary skills to achieve the desired goals.
Second: Ensure adherence to the mechanisms followed in the previous academic year and focus on their development and intensification via daily theoretical and practical exams. The purpose of such measures is to ensure ongoing monitoring of the students' academic levels and their preparation for the final exams in a sound and integrated scientific manner.
Thirdly: Focus on the practical aspect of all academic subjects and follow the agreed methods for students’ evaluation in educational laboratories, in conjunction with required follow up on all laboratory necessary aspects by laboratory and scientific branch officials.
Fourthly: Adhere to professional controls and monitor violations and ban any kind of disturbance to the educational and pedagogical process.
Fifthly: Emphasize the need to follow on students' attendance and absences on a daily basis to the competent committee in order to calculate the percentages at the specified times.
Sixthly: Issuing directives to follow up on students' commitment to the official modest university uniform and holding violators accountable. Their names are to be submitted to the competent bodies in the event of recurrence.
Seventhly: Urging the completion of the necessary requirements to obtain national accreditation for the Faculty of Pharmacy that demand diligent work and ongoing follow-up by subcommittees.
The Dean concluded the meeting by repeating her compliments and thanks
to all staff members of the Faculty,
wishing everyone continued success in the new academic year.
