
The birth of mercy and the beginning of light: The Faculty of Pharmacy holds its annual festival on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday.
In celebration of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Department of Media and Government Communication at Al-Zahraa University for Girls, organized its annual festival, which carried the slogan “The Birth of Mercy… and the Beginning of Light,” recalling the noble Prophetic biography, which comes within the foundations of Islamic culture and university education, which aims to consolidate the status of man in society.
In her speech during the festival, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, affirmed that this blessed occasion represents a bright milestone from which the nation draws inspiration from the meanings of mercy, unity and giving, noting that commemorating the Prophet’s birthday is a revival of lofty human values that should be reflected in the course of science and work and extend to reach all aspects of daily life.
Alongside him, Professor Dr. Nour Hatif Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, explained in her speech the importance of recalling the fragrant biography of the Prophet in building the university personality and enhancing the spirit of responsibility and moral commitment among the students, stressing that the college always seeks to combine academic excellence with connection to spiritual and human values.
The university presidency and the deanship of the College of Pharmacy also honored the teaching staff and students who achieved advanced ranks in the 2024-2025 evaluation exams, thus achieving a new academic distinction that adds to the university’s journey, and is considered a real achievement for university education that aims to enhance its academic standing among Iraqi and regional universities.
This annual festival comes to renew the pledge to follow the path of the Most Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and to consolidate the values he called for in the hearts of the university generations who lead the future and contribute to achieving the desired goals by building a strong and successful society scientifically, practically and culturally.
