Proceeding from its ongoing commitment to keep pace with real-world employment requirements, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University for Women, led by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Noor Al-Dabbagh, took part in the International Conference and Fair of Pharmacy Faculties held in Baghdad from April 18 to 20, 2025.

Hosted under the auspices of the Iraqi Committee of Pharmacy Faculties Deans, the event brought together a broad mix of universities, research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies across Iraq and beyond.

Asst. Prof. Qasim Alawi Badr represented the Faculty, joining deans and faculty members across the country in a dynamic exchange of ideas and expertise. The conference featured the attendance and participation of lecturers from prestigious foreign universities, who delivered scientific lectures covering the latest developments in clinical pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry, and pharmaceutical education. It goes without say that such contribution helped enrich scientific initiative and enhance information exchange among participants.

In conjunction with the conference, a large scale fair was held which highlighted innovations in the pharmaceutical industry, with Iraqi companies showcasing their latest technologies and products, underscoring the country's growing capabilities in health care manufacturing.

Furthermore, the event which was the largest gathering of its kind in Iraq, hosted over 30 universities and more than 300 participants, along with key stakeholders from local and global scientific communities.

It bears noting that the Faculty’s active presence at the conference reflected its commitment to continuous interaction with the academic community, keeping abreast of developments in pharmaceutical education and scientific research, and strengthening communication with healthcare and industrial institutions.
