Lect. Dr. Asma’ Abd Al-Aziz Mohammed, Pharmacy Faculty member at Al-Zahraa University for Women, has published a research paper titled “Micromeritics Study on Some Urinary Tract Powders Marketed in Iraq” in the International Journal of Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Research.

The study aimed to evaluate the flow properties of various urinary tract powders available in Iraqi markets, examining such parameters as the angle of repose, bulk density, tapped density, Carr’s Compressibility Index (CI), as well as Hausner’s ratio.

The results indicated that “Urical” powder exhibited the most favorable flow properties, characterized by an optimal angle of repose and Carr’s Index, suggesting excellent flowability. Meanwhile, other powders demonstrated satisfactory flowability, rendering them suitable for mechanical packaging in sachets or bottles.
