The Central Library Department at Al-Zahraa University for Girls organized an introductory and explanatory seminar for first-year students, under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Noor Hatef Al-Dabbagh, and with the direct supervision of the Scientific Assistant, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein.
The seminar was held to introduce students to the basic mechanisms for utilizing the paper and electronic resources available in the library, which are considered important pillars in supporting the study and research process inside and outside the university.
The program included a practical explanation of how to search library catalogs, including the Koha classification, and how to access approved scientific sources, in addition to introducing the electronic services provided by the library, which contributes to developing the scientific research skills of female students from the beginning of their university career.
This seminar comes as part of the university’s efforts to promote a culture of academic research and provide a supportive educational environment for female students. The central library is one of the most important pillars of the university, as it keeps pace with educational and cultural requirements to enable the use of available scientific resources more efficiently and effectively.
