As part of Al-Zahraa University for Girls’ commitment to the safety of its students and to providing a safe and supportive university environment, health services are organized according to a clear and integrated mechanism that ensures a rapid response and accurate medical procedures when needed.

First: Medical referrals
The competent administrative bodies within the university, such as the administrative assistant or the Registration Department, are responsible for issuing official medical referrals for female students when medical conditions arise that require examination or treatment. Accordingly, the student is referred through an official referral to duly authorized and accredited healthcare institutions to conduct the necessary medical examinations and provide the required treatment, and subsequently issue medical reports or sick leave certificates as appropriate.

The approved health authorities for referral include the following:

Aoun Health Center.

Hospitals affiliated with the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and Abbas.

Hospitals of the Holy Karbala Health Department.

This is for the purpose of conducting a medical examination, providing appropriate care and treatment, and organizing duly approved medical reports.

Second: Immediate first aid within the university campus
The university provides a 24/7 on-campus ambulance service to handle emergencies and sudden health issues. This service ensures rapid initial intervention and minimizes health risks until necessary medical procedures are completed or the case is referred to appropriate healthcare facilities outside the university if required.

This mechanism reflects Al-Zahraa University for Girls’ commitment to providing organized, reliable, and rapid healthcare, which contributes to maintaining the health of female students and supporting their academic continuity in a safe university environment.
