Professor Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University for Girls, participated as a supervising member in the discussion of a master’s thesis at Al-Mustansiriya University, which was entitled: “Molecular docking, synthesis and evaluation of new pyrazole derivatives as anti-spreading agents.”

The study, presented by student Amir Hassan Hamza / majoring in pharmaceutical chemistry, aimed to design and manufacture a new group of pyrazole derivatives as potential inhibitors of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), which is a major therapeutic target in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

The research used molecular modeling techniques and computer studies to assess the biological activity of the compounds, with the aim of developing innovative drugs with promising pharmacological properties.
