Pharmacy Faculty at Al-Zahraa University for Women has resumed its scientific visits to Uruk Pharmaceutical Factory as part and parcel of the scheduled program for the third group of fifth-stage female students, under the supervision of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Industry section. Additionally, the said group was accompanied by academic staff members Asst. Lect. Fatima Hassan Shakir, Asst. Lect. Noor Zuhair, as well as Asst. Lect. Reham Badr, alongside Lecturer Assistants Pharmacist Qabas Al-Huda and Pharmacist Manar Wathiq. dissolution test وHPLCThe visit featured an extensive tour of the Research and Development (R&D) Department, with a briefing on the document control room, the wet chemistry laboratory, as well as essential analytical instruments, including the Dissolution Test Apparatus and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Furthermore, the tour also included the stability room, where procedures for testing the stability of raw materials and pharmaceutical products were explained. Besides, the visiting group was further kept abreast of the Development Department’s processes for preparing capsules, tablets, creams, as well as syrups. It is noteworthy that the visit culminated in a theoretical session on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), highlighting their crucial role in ensuring both the safety and quality of pharmaceutical production.
