for its important role as it is a mineral substance composed mainly of calcium hydroxide phosphate. Moreover,
, it is an essential part of the skeleton and teeth in living organisms. Hydroxyapatite is characterized by its strong physical and mechanical properties, which makes it an ideal material for use in several medical applications such as bone implants, dental restoration, biomedical materials and other biological applications: Hydroxyapatite is also used in many fields including cell and molecular biology to study cellular interactions and biomechanics
In addition, hydroxyapatite can be used as a coating material in technical applications such as surface coating to improve sliding properties and corrosion resistance.
