The College of Pharmacy within the university continues the task of preparing an advanced study for a future urban destination for the university. The execution of work began on it after the directives of His Eminence, the legal guardian of the Holy Hussainia shrine, Sheikh Abd al-Mahdi al-Karbalai (may his glory last) to establish a new building for the College of Pharmacy according to the approved international norms and standards at the Holy Hussainia shrine.
An expanded meeting was held at the Holy Hussainia shrine that included (Professor Haider Al-Tamimi), the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University as well as the Acting Dean of the College of Pharmacy (Prof. Dr. Zuhair Muhammad Ali) and a number of faculty members from the College and the Quality Assurance Department. The meeting held in the university council hall witnessed an agenda for the construction of a new building for the Faculty of Pharmacy with an area of more than (14 acres) and includes important annexes, an entertainment complex, auditoriums and other service annexes.

The meeting also included a discussion of the most prominent outputs of the recent visit to Iran and a visit to the University of Baghdad to gain knowledge about the experiences of universities in the field of specialized buildings.
It is noteworthy that Al-Zahra University announced in mid-February that His Eminence, the legal representative of the Holy Shrine of Al-Hussainia, directed the need to give importance to the academic infrastructure, after the momentum achieved by the college within the university this year.
