The College of Pharmacy organizes a humanitarian visit to the Warith International Foundation for Cancer Treatment.
The visit, which came at the direction of the President of Al-Zahraa University (peace be upon her) for Girls, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, aimed to To provide moral and psychological support to patients receiving treatment, and to spread hope among them, as well as to highlight the significant role the institution plays in providing its advanced and specialized medical services to cancer patients in Iraq.
During the tour, the students presented symbolic gifts, as well as the "Wall of Hope," which embodies humanitarian meanings and moral values in the remarkable cooperation between different segments of Iraqi society. A number of instructors also conducted short educational dialogues on the importance of psychological support in enhancing the response to treatment, and ways to spread health awareness for prevention and early detection of tumors.
Alongside him, the teaching staff of the College of Pharmacy honored the Medical Director of the institution, Specialist Pharmacist Hassanein Mu’az Al-Turaihi, Specialist Surgeon Nawfal Shaker Al-Shadoud, and the health staff whose efforts have continuously contributed to providing the best therapeutic services to patients and have achieved positive results in recovery rates.
The University President expressed her pride in these initiatives, which embody the University’s humanitarian and community mission, stressing its continued commitment to organizing activities that contribute to supporting health institutions and promoting a culture of volunteering and social care among female students.
