In a heartfelt humanitarian gesture during the holy month of Ramadan, two female students from Pharmacy Faculty at Al-Zahraa University for Women, namely Miss Wafaa Faleh and Miss Noor Raed Hussein, launched an initiative to distribute Ramadan food baskets to orphaned families, spreading joy and support in the blessed month.
Thanks to their persistent efforts, the two students successfully raised funds, with the initiative receiving overwhelming support from the University Presidency, faculty members, as well as diverse University departments. It is significant to observe that Department of Media and Government Communications played a crucial role in throwing ample light on the humanitarian aspect of the initiative, fostering a culture of cooperation and social responsibility. Additionally, Department of Administrative Affairs and the Dormitory Affairs provided exceptional logistical support, ensuring the success of the campaign.
The initiative included the distribution of essential food and household items to underprivileged families, with a view to create a considerable impact on the beneficiaries and strengthen the spirit of community solidarity.
The two students expressed their gratitude for the University’s support, emphasizing that faculty contributions and administrative assistance were instrumental and crowned the initiative with success. They also highlighted the significance of such humanitarian projects in order to promote compassion and social awareness within the University environment.
