The Branch of Pharmacology and Toxicology is a scientific branch dedicated to preparing highly skilled pharmacy professionals.
This Branch strives to maintain leadership in scientific research, education,
and service to both the college and university, in addition to serving the community. The Branch collaborates with other scientific branches within the college and engages in cooperative studies with other institutions.
The Branch of Pharmacology and Toxicology specifically focuses on teaching the subjects of pharmacology and toxicology,alongside general medical physiology.
The disciplines of pharmacology and toxicology share the same fundamental principles and employ similar experimental methods to address a wide range of health and medical inquiries.
The scientific laboratories associated with the Branch of Pharmacology and Toxicology provide a safe environment for conducting research and analyses, enhancing these activities while prioritizing training and supporting the scientific capabilities of the college's branches, college, and instructors.
The branch also offers consulting services for researchers from universities across Iraq with the goal of serving the community and the state.

Vision

The branch of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy aspires to become a distinguished and recognized institution in the field of pharmacology and therapeutics in Iraq, and more broadly in the region.
This ambition is pursued through the provision of exceptional curricula and services in the education and training of pharmacy students,
as well as students from other colleges
within the medical group, and conducting scientific research that leads to innovation and discovery in the field of pharmaceuticals.

Mission

Providing the opportunity for high-quality educational experiences for female students of the College of Pharmacy to advance their knowledge in pharmacology and toxicology,
and to improve human health in Iraq through research and advanced sciences related to pharmaceuticals.

Goals

Providing high-quality education for undergraduate pharmacy students in the disciplines of pharmacology,
toxicology, and physiology, while preparing them for a later understanding of clinical sciences.
Creating an encouraging environment enriched with the best experiences for supporting students until the completion of their education.
Ensuring effective planning for high-quality scientific research, particularly in the field of drug development,
as well as in other areas such as toxicology, narcotic drugs, and molecular pharmacology.
