Lecturer M.M. Noor Zuhair Abdul Ghani from the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University (peace be upon her) for Girls published a scientific paper entitled:<\/p>\n
“Synthesis, Docking Study and Biological Evaluation of Naproxen-Based Heterocyclic Derivatives”<\/p>\n
In the Eurasian Journal of Chemistry, indexed in Scopus and Clarivate (Q4).<\/p>\n

This research addressed the design, synthesis, and efficacy evaluation of a new class of heterocyclic naproxen derivatives (NA1\u2013NA4), aimed at enhancing pharmacodynamic efficacy and reducing side effects. The results showed that compounds NA2 and NA3 possessed promising antibacterial activity compared to amoxicillin.\nWhile compounds NA1 and NA3 showed an anti-proliferative effect against breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-231) with IC50 values \u200b\u200bof 11.81 and 11.08 \u00b5g\/mL respectively.<\/p>\n

The study also included molecular analysis using MOE software that showed a strong binding affinity to the COX-2 enzyme, suggesting that these compounds may have anti-inflammatory properties.<\/p>\n
