Lect. Doha Mahdi Al-Bahrani, a faculty member at Pharmacy Faculty, Al-Zahraa University for Women, has published a scientific study in the Research Journal of Pharmacy and Technology, a journal indexed in Scopus and Clarivate (Q2).<\/p>\n<p>The study investigates the beta-blocking effects of drugs that are not officially classified as beta-blockers but demonstrate similar physiological responses, including bradycardia, bronchospasm, Raynaud\u2019s syndrome, as well as increased vascular resistance.\nAdditionally, through a systematic review of approximately 1,090 articles published between 2010 and 2023, the research identifies several medications that may interact with beta receptors, potentially producing beta-blocker-like effects.<\/p>\n<p>It bears noting that the findings underscore the importance of acknowledging these off-target effects, which could assist in the repurposing of certain drugs and ameliorate treatment strategies.\n<br><br>\nTranslated by Zahra' Ala', revised by Asst.
