This study considered the antibacterial and biofilm inhibitory activities of ZnO@Glu-TSC nanoparticles on P. aeruginosa due to the emergence of drug resistance, and since the treatment of \u201cPseudomonas aeruginosa\u201d bacteria poses a major health challenge due to this resistance.<\/div>\n
Usually, bacteria in biofilms are more resistant to antibiotics. Therefore, anti-biofilm compounds can be used against bacterial infections.<\/div>\n
Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles were prepared by glutamic acid (ZnO@Glu). Then, the nanoparticles were conjugated with thiosemicarbazone (ZnO@Glu-TSC) and their anti-biofilm activity in combination with thymol was investigated on Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains.<\/div>\n
Physicochemical characterization by FT-IR and XRD analyses showed that the nanoparticles were properly synthesized and their purity was demonstrated by EDS mapping.<\/div>\n
Thus, treatment with ZnO@Glu-TSC+Thymol could be a new option for eradicating P. aeruginosa biofilms.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
